Emerald Pandan Heart Bread

Ingredients

White Dough:
1/2 cups bread flour
1.5 tbsp sugar
1 tsp instant yeast
1/2 cup of water
1/4 cup cold milk
A pinch of salt
1 tbsp unsalted butter

Emerald Pandan Dough:
1/2 cups bread flour
1.5 tbsp sugar
1 tsp instant yeast
1/2 cup of water
1/4 cup cold milk
A pinch of salt
1 tbsp unsalted butter
1/4 cup of water
4 tbsp Suncore Foods® Emerald Pandan Leaf Powder

 

Directions

1. For White Dough — Mix bread flour, sugar, yeast, water and milk in stand mixer, kneading on low speed until the dough is formed. Cover the bowland let the dough rest for 30 minutes. Add salt and continue to knead the dough for 1 minute. Add butter cubes and knead until the dough passeswindowpane test. Form the dough into a ball and put it in a greased bowl. Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

2. For Emerald Pandan Dough — Dissolve Suncore Foods® Emerald Pandan Leaf Powder in 1/4 cup of water. Mix bread flour, sugar, yeast, water, milk, Emerald pandan leaf mixture in stand mixer, kneading on low speed until the dough is formed. Cover the bowland let the dough rest for 30 minutes. Add salt and continue to knead the dough for 1 minute. Add butter cubes and knead until the dough passes window pane test. Form the dough into a ball and put it in a greased bowl. Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour. Roll each piece of dough into 1/4 inch rectangle. Lay the green dough on top of the plain dough, then roll them together into a tight log. Place the log into a greased loaf tin to rise for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350'F. Bake for 40 minutes. Let cool completely before slicing.
