Christmas Tree Cookies

These Christmas Tree Cookies are sure to make Santa come down the chimney in a hurry! Treat your Santa extra special this year with these delicious cookies. We absolutely fell in love with the frosty sight and amazing attention to detail of the pine tree icing, made with Suncore Foods® Emerald Pandan Leaf Powder. It's super easy and quick to use this powder to color your frosting in a delightfully festive green! Who can resist a sweet, buttery, and warm cookie that looks this good? Just one look and people will be flocking to them! These darling, sweet cookies will make your Christmas party all the more jolly.

Ingredients

Cookies:
4.4 oz butter
4 oz powdered sugar
8 oz flour

Icing:
8 oz cream cheese
3/4 cup unsalted butter
5 cups confectioners sugar
3 tbsp Suncore Foods® Emerald Pandan Leaf Powder
1/4 cup water

 

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 F. In a stand mixer cream together butter and powdered sugar until fluffy for about 5 minutes. Stir in flour just until combined. Shape dough into flat disc. Wrap in plastic wrap, refrigerate for 15 minutes. Roll out dough between parchment paper to 1/8 inch thickness. Using Christmas tree cookie cutter cut out shapes. Chill the cookies in the freezer for 5 minutes before baking. Bake at 350F until lightly browned at edges.

2. Dissolve Suncore Foods® Emerald Pandan Leaf Powder in water. In electric mixer, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add confectioners sugar, mix until fluffy. Tint frosting with Suncore Foods® Emerald Pandan Leaf Powder mixture.

3. Fill pastry bag fitted with tips and decorate cookies as desired. Use sprinkles cookies to decorate.
